MA - five more minutes 05/03

Another five minute spell of watching and photographing in the yard, this time through the living room window with Matan after school. It was surprisingly lively for late afternoon.

All images taken using a Canon Powershot G10 in our yard in Gill, Franklin Co., MA.

Red-bellied Woodpecker - male puncturing a hole in my nyger seed bag. One of five species of woodpecker present in the yard at the moment, at least three of which are nesting. In addition, Pileated Woodpecker is often heard/seen from the yard sometimes giving us six species of woodpecker in a day - not too shabby!
